Officially A Certified Model: Graduation Day!

After much anticipation, the big day finally came! Following weeks of hard work and determination, I walked down the black and white runway as a certified model during our Classic W/ Style graduation ceremony. The full house for the show made the event that much more exciting and special. We began the evening showcasing our avant garde styling, which I have featured in a previous post. It was wonderful to be able to display my efforts in front of such a large and impressive crowd. And the CWS staff had such kind things to say about us.

"Right from the beginning we knew we had a great class, you all did your best and worked hard to be here today. Your Avant Garde was incredible, all I could say is WOW, and you know that is special from me."

- Dean Janet Brink

Double take - that's me in my avant garde styling up on the big screen! As if walking the runway wasn't enough of a spotlight, we were projected on a huge monitor for all to see. Next, we changed into our caps and gowns for a final walk down the runway to receive our diplomas. Sitting right there in the front row was Super Model and former executive trainer Tiffani Celestalis, cheering me on. She and the other trainers were instrumental in preparing me for this day.

"This is an honor and a personal accomplishment. All of your hard work has finally paid off! It takes a great deal of talent, effort, and determination to achieve such a challenging goal, and it is very inspiring to me to see you realize it."

- Executive Trainer Vicky Yongbo

Inspiring for us all, I must say. As a complement to the traditional CWS graduation outfit, I decided to accessorize the lovely pink cap and gown with finely crafted heels by N-core and sparkling jewelry by Chop Zuey. The occasion was most definitely a blissful jubilee, so I felt that the celebratory names of Ms. Roussel's jewels were appropriate.

My style:

Shoes: Cuore in Silver by N-core
Hair: Siri in Walnut by Maitreya

Eyeshadow: Smoky Icon N.1 by Evian - Egoisme Body
Eyelashes: BlackDarling by Redgrave

After my final poses on the center star, I felt such a sense of accomplishment standing at the end of the runway with our graduating class. I am thankful for the supportive community, friends and instructors that I have found here. And we all looked amazing! Now I have that special piece of paper that proves I have learned the best modeling skills and techniques for success:

"Ms Laura Reverie, I present you with the CWS University bachelor diploma in modeling."

- CWS CEO Sunrae Suntzu

What a proud moment! And so begins my career as a professional model. I am incredibly pleased to be certified and plan to continue my modeling training and accomplishments. Diploma in hand, and obligatory outdoor graduation photos taken (/me smiles), I look forward to the creative and inspiring journey through SL fashion and modeling that is ahead of me.
